Educational Services
IIE’s Educational Services division supervises international Fulbright students working towards undergraduate or graduate degrees in our 16-state region. We promote and facilitate the selection process for outstanding study abroad programs for US Citizens including the Fulbright Grants for Graduate Study Abroad, and our own scholarships that foster international education. Through IIE’s International Teacher Program, we facilitate visa sponsorships for international teachers to teach in US primary and secondary schools, expanding the world view of young students in the region.
International Visitor Leadership Program
IIE’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) has been Denver’s official host of the US Department of State sponsored visitors for professional exchange for over 50 years. These visitors are emerging leaders in a variety of fields in their home country, and many past participants in the program have gone on to be world leaders. We partner with nearly 600 professional resources and 125 host families who share their time and homes with our visitors. Involvement with these visitors can be very mutually beneficial for businesses and the individuals.
Denver World Affairs Council
A community service program of IIE, the Denver World Affairs Council (DWAC) offers an insider’s look at the international arena to residents of the Denver area. We host monthly speaking events featuring distinguished experts on current, global issues. These events provide a unique opportunity for globally-minded Coloradans to meet each other and gain insights from authors, leaders, and government officials about what’s really happening around the world. Recent topics range from India and Iran to immigration reform and the United Nations. Through DWAC we bring the world to Denver.
