International Study Opportunities


The IIE Rocky Mountain Regional Center offers competitive scholarships for outstanding students at IIE Educational Associate member institutions in the 16-state Rocky Mountain region.  The scholarships are awarded annually.  In addition, IIE administers scholarship programs and exchange opportunities open to students nationwide.  Scholarships are offered for undergraduate and graduate levels of academic study.

Rocky Mountain Regional Scholarships

Adell & Hancock

Open to international students currently studying at a U.S. university or U.S. students engaging in a study abroad program during the next academic year.

Nancy Petry Scholarship

Open to U.S. citizens enrolled in a graduate studies program at an IIE Educational Associate Institution of higher learning in the Rocky Mountain region.

Boren Awards

Boren Scholarships and Fellowships provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to add an important international and language component to their educations. We focus on geographic areas, languages, and fields of study that are critical to U.S. national security, broadly defined, and underrepresented in study abroad.

Western Union Family Scholarship Program

The Family Scholarship Program is intended to help two members of the same family move up the economic development ladder through education. Scholarships may be used for tuition for college/university education, language acquisition classes, technical/skill training, and/or financial literacy. For example, one family member may request assistance to attend college and the other family member may request assistance to attend English as a Second Language (ESL) course.
