All Internships are unpaid and must be taken for credit. IIE offers interns transportation/parking reimbursement for travel to our office in addition to a complimentary IIE annual membership with free attendance to IIE events.

International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Programming Intern: This internship focuses on program coordination for the International Visitor Leadership Program at the Institute of International Education, Rocky Mountain Center.  Under the direction and supervision of IIE staff, interns will learn the details of what is involved in arranging an international visitor program, such as research, planning logistics, and engaging with the local community. Interns will have the opportunity to attend appointments with international professionals and assist with correspondence and IVLP website maintenance. Interns will acquire an in depth understanding of complex systems and an appreciation of business practices, which will help to prepare him/her for success in a future career. 

International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Communications Intern: This internship focuses on communications for the International Visitor Leadership Program at the Institute of International Education, Rocky Mountain Center.  This internship provides interns with a valuable opportunity to learn about the planning and communications in a visitor program from beginning to end. Under the direction and supervision of IIE staff, interns will learn the details of what is involved in arranging an international visitor program, such as logistics, communications, and engaging with the local community. Interns will be invited to attend appointments with international professionals and write “feature articles” and assist with newsletters.   Interns will acquire an in depth understanding of complex systems and an appreciation of business practices, which will help to prepare him/her for success in a future career. 

Marketing, Outreach and Event Planning Intern: This internship focuses on research, marketing & outreach, and administrative assistance. Interns will have the opportunity to work with IIE staff on communications, speaker events, membership development, volunteer development, and a major fundraising event.
